Civic Education

Afghanistan entered in democratization phase from 2002. The first presidential election took place in 2005. Since the election is a new concept in Afghanistan, there is a need for civic education throughout the country. People should be provided with education regarding the electoral process and should be given free space to discuss the process. WISE aim to create opportunities for information and experience sharing including the better ways to involve more people in the electoral process and create electoral reform lobbying and advocacy by political parties that are aimed at improving the environment within which elections take place to enhance the participation of women in political and democratic governance processes.
