Summary including results:
Policy Advocacy for Women’s Access to Economic Empowerment project was aimed to train 120 women and young girls the advocacy skills and improve their capabilities through training, conduction of 15 campaigns for 900 women and me in order to enable them to implement their newly acquired advocacy skills, six direct advocacy meeting with six governmental departments; namely, Administrative Reform, DOLSA, DoWA, Department Agricultural, Department of Commerce and DRRD. Conducted one “Policy Advocacy for Women’s Access to Economic Empowerment” Conference between civil society activists, Herat “Access to Economic Empowerment” Sub-coalition members, advocacy group and governmental entities.
As a result, about 90% of the conducted advocacy trainings and campaigns have a good knowledge on the mode of transmission of democracy in the society and the advocacy activities literally amplified the target community’s voice in many civilians. This is measured through M&E tool such as include monitoring checklists, measuring the physical performances, attendance registers, individual interviews, feedback from, Musharikat nearby activity visit, RSI representatives that they were invited in each signal activity as well including local authorities, (Economy Department, DoWA).
The project’s impact on six governmental departments policies were very successful as policies were available and they weren’t work upon to the policy and after money direct advocacies now the government pay attention gender quality in the governmental departments. You can see the advocacy meeting at (www.wise-af.com). by the way, the organization itself is the strengthened communication between all stockholders based on group interactions and structured interpersonal communication to move beyond the message through face to face interaction, dialogues and critical reflection. In many ways, the impact of this project on WISE Organization context was positive and enabled the organization for creation of strong social networks, while engaging citizens in public affairs and increased access to policy of governmental entities and advocate for gender equality to improve the transparency of government in decision-making and created an opportunity to women to influence in participation to have a role in policy making.
